EXKURSION NACH STUTTGART
Liebe Master-Studierende, liebe Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden,
wie wir Euch bereits in unserem letzten Newsletter mitgeteilt haben, findet auch in diesem Semester wieder eine interessante Exkursion statt: Wir fahren am Dienstag, den 27. November zum Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) nach Stuttgart. Das Institut engagiert sich weltweit für Kunstaustausch, den Dialog der Zivilgesellschaften und die Vermittlung außenkulturpolitischer Informationen. Das ifa gilt als führende deutsche Institution im internationalen Kunstaustausch und konzipiert und veranstaltet weltweit Ausstellungen deutscher Kunst. Des weiteren organisiert das ifa verschiedene Austauschprogramme und internationale Konferenzen und fördert die zivile Konfliktbearbeitung.

Im ifa werden uns am Nachmittag zwei Mitarbeiter zu einem Gespräch über die Aufgaben und Ziele des ifa und über die Internationalisierung der Gesellschaft empfangen. Außerdem erhalten wir eine Führung durch die Bibliothek, die weltweit die einzige Spezialbibliothek zur Auswärtigen Kulturpolitik der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist.
Das Vormittagsprogramm steht noch nicht ganz fest, wir haben aber einige "heiße Eisen im Feuer" und hoffen, dass Ihr Euch gerne überraschen lasst.
Der Bus fährt morgens um 7:00 Uhr vor dem Konzerthaus Freiburg ab.
Der Teilnehmerbeitrag, den Ihr direkt am 27. November zahlen könnt, beträgt 10 Euro.
Bitte meldet Euch bis spätestens zum 16. November in der Sprechstunde (mittwochs von 10-11 Uhr in Raum 00 008 im
International Office) oder per Email (postgraduate@io.uni-freiburg.de) mit dem angehängten Anmeldebogen an.

EXCURSION TO STUTTGART
Dear Master and PhD students,
as we have already announced in our last newsletter, this semester we will again offer you an interesting excursion: On Tuesday, November 27 we will visit the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa) in Stuttgart. The institute is an organization operating worldwide to promote artistic exchange and dialogue between civil societies and to provide information about foreign cultural policy. As the leading German institution for international cultural exchange, ifa devises and organizes German contemporary art exhibitions worldwide. The institute also organizes exchange programs and international conferences, and supports civil conflict resolution and transformation work.

At the ifa we will be received by two staff members of the institute who will introduce us to the mission and objectives of the ifa and will discuss with us the internationalization of society. Subsequent to this conversation we will have the opportunity to visit the
ifa-library which is the only special library for foreign cultural policy of Germany worldwide.
The program in the morning is not yet confirmed but we are in contact with some interesting institutions and we hope
you are ready for a surprise!
The bus will leave at 7:00 a.m in front of the Konzerthaus Freiburg.
The participant fee which you can pay on November 27 is 10 Euros.
