租屋津貼
If the scholarship holder studies in some specific cities (there is a full list by DAAD), DAAD provides a rent subsidy.
How much money would one get?
If one get 600 EUR/month from DAAD and the cold rent (without costs for electricity, water, garbage....) is 300 EUR/month.
DAAD will pay (300 * 1.25 - 600 * 0.3) * (2/3) = 130 EUR/month.
(cold rent * 1.25 - scholarship * 0.3) * (2/3)
If this amount is less than 30 EUR, DAAD does not issue the subsidy.
家庭補助
Peter recieves scholarship from DAAD. Peter is married and Peter's wife is also in Germany without any income. DAAD gives Peter about 300EUR more per month to support Peter's wife. Peter might get more money, if he has kids and they are also in Germany.

This was the rule last year. For current information, please check the lastest rules from DAAD.
