VISA for work from Taiwan?

I got a job offer to work in Germany; my German boss applied for the work permit for me from Germany and checked with me to apply for VISA from Taiwan. (I am currently in Taiwan).

How/what is the procedure of this kind of VISA application in Taiwan? How long will it take? Why is it applied from Taiwan?

有了work permit要申請工作簽證就很簡單了阿
其他就是個人依些資料
但我記得要公司保信
你的雇主應該要給你一張guarantee letter
確保你在德國的工作與出事情時，該雇主要負責任之類的
打去德國在台協會詢問
會有必備清單
再一個一準備囉
我記得一個月左右就下來了

Any idea of the difference between applied from TW and DE?

All the documents for the VISA application were sent last week. Today I got info from my German boss that the German authority is checking my record of my stay in German last year....


What are they checking exactlly? Do I need to do anything now?


I hope things will be fine and all the application will be finished soon. This is exhausting..

既然德國老闆通知你德國這邊已經在調查你去年在德居留紀錄，
至少是好消息，表示德國有在處理你的案件，而不是擱置在一旁。
德國各種行業連同公家機關通常在七、八月都龜速在辦事情，因為大家都渡假去了。
現在進入九月，應該慢慢恢復正常了。
如果你覺得很不安心的話，建議你和德國老闆每隔一陣子就打電話去關心進度，有人關心的case通常會稍微快一點點。
跟德國政府單位打交道的確令人心力交瘁，祝你好運!!

Finally after checking with German Institue...the VISA thing is over......I got the VISA....Thanks God..!!

But the German Institue lady said to me the VISA is firstly for 90 days and after I get in Germany I need to go to the authority. What kind of things I need to pay attantion? And, what kind of documents should I bring along?

你就是要到當地的外事處換正式長期簽證吧～  跟來德國念書的學生一樣。因為在台灣當地無法發長期簽，都是要到這裡換簽的。印象中...需要要有當地的居留地址，相片，護照這些的資料。不過你到當地外事處，他們都會再告訴你一次要什麼資料的。

倒是很想請教各位有經驗的前輩～因為我們德國公司也正在幫兩位台灣同事辦長期工作簽。他們一個星期前送資料了。但辦事處說要兩三個月耶～為何前輩們都一個月,一個多月就拿到簽證了呢？是否我們從德國公司這邊有什麼可以提供的資料文件或者要常常打電話去關切(會不會造成反效果？)，可以加速他們兩位同事的工作簽處理呢？

Thanks for the information.

My case takes also 3 months or so. My boss does call and issue some kind of letter to the authority. I myslef also call the German Institute very often to check the applicaiton status. I think it works.
